Our apprenticeship program

There’s never been a better time to be in energy, or a better time to be at Endeavour Energy.

More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us to supply safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses every day.

We employ more than 1,700 people, making us one of Greater Western Sydney’s largest employers. We need talented people who care about one another and the work we do. Why? Because we’re one of Australia's fastest growing energy networks, connecting 20,000 new customers each year, including the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. When we Power Together, we go further, faster -towards a smarter, more sustainable future for us all.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We know that fostering a diverse, inclusive, and flexible workforce is the key to providing an affordable, safe, reliable, and sustainable service for our customers and the communities we serve, now and in the future.

Applications are now open for Electrical and Locksmith Apprenticeships commencing in January 2025.

Inclusion and diversity

We want Endeavour Energy to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We strive to foster an inclusive, flexible, and supportive workplace where our people feel respected and supported to grow.

We aim for gender balance in our Apprentice and Graduate intakes. Watch this video to hear about why some of our female employees love working at Endeavour.

We’re also committed to growing our representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and creating career pathways through our Apprentice program. We’re partnering with TAFE NSW to sponsor the Empower Electrical Apprenticeship Readiness program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Career opportunities

Many of our apprentices go on to further employment opportunities at Endeavour. Beyond the trade, some choose to become technical specialists, while others opt for further study and development to move into leadership and engineering positions.
