Community Batteries

Community batteries are part of an exciting initiative to make the most of rooftop solar on homes across the Endeavour Energy network.

They can store solar energy generated in local neighbourhoods, enable lower electricity costs for consumers, and support the continued growth of household solar on the electricity network.

Community batteries provide a shared battery solution - you don’t have to have rooftop solar or to own your own home:

• For residents with solar, energy sent to the battery can help meet the community’s energy demand.
• Residents without solar can contribute to the renewable energy transition.

Community Batteries for Household Solar program

We are partnering with the Federal Government to deliver community batteries in Bidwill, Blaxland, Cabramatta, Dapto, Hobartville and Warrawong through the Commonwealth’s Community Batteries for Household Solar Program.

Endeavour Energy Community Battery Program

Endeavour Energy is also delivering a further 10 community batteries across Bargo, Blair Athol,  Bungarribee, Cambewarra, East Bowral, Hammondville, Kiama Downs, Shell Cove, St Georges Basin and Macquarie Fields.
