Access track inspection
Keeping you and your electricity safe is our highest priority. Part of this includes maintaining safe access for our crews to powerlines located on private property for operational and maintenance activities. As part of our planned network maintenance, we work with landowners to inspect the condition of accessways while making sure of minimal disturbance to your property.
Frequently Asked Questions
What work is being carried out?
One of Endeavour Energy’s priorities is to ensure safe access to the electricity network. Over the next 14 days, our environmental consultants at Ecosure will be completing inspections on the condition of accessways to powerlines. They will also ensure we have the best access points to poles mapped digitally through photographs which may be taken during their visit. This helps when we are carrying out maintenance activities in the future to ensure the reliability of supply.
How long will they be here?
Endeavour Energy’s contractor will be carrying out access track inspection works on your property within the next seven (14) days from the date of this letter/ SMS
What if I’m not home?
On the day the work starts, the contractor will attempt to contact you (if you are home) to confirm that entry to your property is convenient. If you are not at home, or do not have a dwelling on the property, the contractors will enter the property to complete the works.
In all cases, existing access arrangements and tracks will be utilised where possible and every effort will be taken by the contractors to ensure that works cause minimum disturbance. We will ensure all access points and gates are left as they are found, whether that be open or closed. We will ensure we are mindful of animals that may also be on the property.
What if it’s raining?
If there has been rain and there is potential for the vehicle to leave permanent wheel tracks, we will not proceed and instead reschedule our visit.
What if I don’t own this property?
If you do not own this property, we would appreciate it if you would let the owner know about this notification immediately.
