Empowering electrical safety
We’ve completed another successful Electricity Safety Week, reaching 94% of local primary schools within our network and helping to educate Years K-6 students on how to live safely with electricity.
As Australia’s largest safety awareness program for children, Electrical Safety Awareness Week is designed to help teachers meet Science & Technology and PDHPE syllabus outcomes for years K-6.
We’re incredibly grateful for the involvement of our employees who volunteered in this year’s program, and personally visited 12 schools to present to over 1,650 children.
Partnering with schools to provide high-impact learning helps deliver on our commitment to keep everybody safe around electricity, including understanding how to identify electrical risks and hazards.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to the following schools for hosting visits from our people: Dapto PS; Sadleir PS; Arrahman College, Austral; St Bernadettes Catholic School, Castle Hill; Regentville PS; Penrith Christian School; Nowra PS; St Justin’s Catholic School, Oran Park; St Canice’s Primary School, Katoomba; Megalong PS; Bulli PS; and St Joseph’s Catholic School, Bulli.
Stay tuned for the announcement of our Electric Kids Superstar and Superhero competition winners in November!
