Energy sector shoots for gender equity
2030 is an important milestone: #NetZero and #Equalby30.
The Australian Energy Regulator has shown their commitment to gender equality in the energy sector. Along with numerous governments and companies across the globe, they have become a signatory to the Equal by 30 campaign.
Equal by 30 is part of the Equality in Energy Transitions Initiative to accelerate gender equality and diversity in clean energy transition and close the gender gap by 2030.
AER Chair Clare Savage believes “Embracing the diverse experiences and insights of women from different cultural backgrounds, ethnicities or sexual orientation into the energy sector will help ensure a successful clean energy future.”
