Giving back through greening

Since the devastating bushfires of 2019-2020, we’ve been working with Shoalhaven Council and the local community to restore vegetation in the beautiful coastal areas of Manyana and Lake Conjola.

These bushfires saw more than 11,400 bush and grass fires across NSW alone. And this region was one of many to suffer particular devastation.

The bushfires had a devastating impact on the region, with extensive damage to homes, bushland and habitat; and it was important to our team to give back and support these communities in the healing process while also supporting the regeneration of bushland habitat.

We’ve held several successful community planting days and recently held the final event in this two-year long project. Two hundred native species were planted by volunteers from Endeavour Energy along Lake Conjola Entrance Road, bringing us to a total of more than 1000 seedlings planted in seven locations throughout the Manyana and Lake Conjola areas.

Thanks to our people and members of the community who have volunteered their time for this worthy project.

Throughout the project it has been wonderful to work with the local community members and groups including Manyana Matters, the Conjola Community Association and the Red Head Villages Association to identify the planting locations and species. Thank you Shoalhaven City Council and Greening Australia for partnering with us on this important project.
