Powering Communities: 1st Camden Scouts
We’re powering a brighter future for 1st Camden Scouts, helping them to reduce their carbon footprint and allow greater use of their facilities by the local community.
Through our Powering Communities grants program, we’ve funded the installation of a rooftop solar system to power their scout hall as well as energy efficient indoor and outdoor LED lighting. These new investments avoid the equivalent of 3.1 tonnes of coal being burnt each year to power the site and allows them to open their hall for hire by the local community without adding more electricity costs to their operations, all of which helps keep their fees affordable for families.
We’re pleased to support this project as it aligns with our own net zero targets and could not have been delivered without our support.
