Endeavour Energy Customer Assistance Plan 26 March 2021 – 1:00PM

Our priority is to return essential electricity supply to flood affected customers and communities as soon as it is safe to do so when flood waters recede and roads reopen.

While many parts of the Hawkesbury and Macarthur regions are still flooded, we want to reassure people that Endeavour Energy is ready with people and equipment to get their power back on.

To offer some relief, we are using generators to supply areas where the network is still inundated and repairs to damaged powerlines and underground cables will take time. We will not be able to power everyone with generators but are targeting those locations where we can do the greatest good while flood waters subside and repairs are completed.

Endeavour Energy has prepared a customer assistance package to make life easier for those customers hit hardest by the flooding. The package includes:

  • undertaking free inspections of meter boards to determine if properties are safe to reconnect
  • waiving all application, site establishment and electrical contractor fees (valued between $350-$600) for customers reconnecting flood-damaged properties to the network
  • pausing disconnections and follow up on private powerline defects in flood affected areas
  • having a Community Liaison Officer at evacuation centres to answer customer queries about electrical safety and the reconnection process.

Endeavour Energy would like to thank customers for the patience they have shown during these especially challenging circumstances as our crews continue to work hard to safely restore their power supply.
