Power update – 18 January - 5:00pm

Major incident update – 5pm Saturday

  • 2,500 customers currently without power due to Wednesday evening’s intense storm and Friday’s gale force, damaging winds
  • There is a higher number of incidents in Western Sydney, South West Sydney and North West Sydney

Endeavour Energy emergency crews are continuing to repair significant damage to the network caused by both Wednesday evening’s intense storms and Friday’s gale force, damaging winds.

Crews are working to repair 274 incidents that are currently impacting power to 2,500 customers with power expected to be restored to the majority of these customers this afternoon and into this evening. Some outages may continue where significant repair work is required.

We thank customers for their continued patience and understanding. We will continue to update our website with estimated restoration times and continue to contact customers via SMS (where we have customer contact details).

STAYING SAFE:

  • Treat all powerlines as 'live' and dangerous by keeping at least 8m clear of them. Never drive across fallen powerlines!
  • Report fallen powerlines immediately by calling us 24/7 on 131 003
  • Avoid all contact with wires that are hanging low, on the ground or tangled in trees and other storm debris.
  • If you’re using a portable generator for power, stay safe and avoid deadly exhaust fumes entering your home.
