Windstorm update - 29 August 11am
Power has been restored to more than 54,000 customers across the Endeavour Energy network after damaging winds exceeding 100 km/h brought down trees and powerlines across a broad area.
Work will continue throughout today to safely restore power as quickly as possible to the remaining 3,000 homes & businesses currently without supply who are mostly in the Macarthur, Illawarra & Shoalhaven regions.
While we expect most homes and businesses to have power back by late tonight, some single customers may experience extended outages due to the extensive damage.
We will be proactively contacting affected customers via SMS (where we have their contact details) to provide them updates on estimated restoration times.
Thank you for your understanding as our storm recovery continues.
