“Our Supply Chain Champion Awards acknowledge eight suppliers whose outstanding service and superior results contributed to a lift in service levels from our field crews,” said Endeavour Energy’s Chief Financial Officer Francoise Merit.

“These suppliers played a critical role in ensuring our crews got the right equipment at the right time to maintain a safe, reliable and affordable electricity supply to our customers.

“This drive to deliver better results helps improve Endeavour Energy’s services and keep downward pressure on our portion of customers’ electricity bills.”

Ms Merit said the eight award winners were in elite company having been selected from over 200 equipment suppliers to Endeavour Energy during 2020.

“The winners represent a broad cross section of our equipment suppliers from safety products, transformers, switches, cable, protection relays and industrial fasteners.

“No matter how big or small, we want all our suppliers to recognise the important role they play in the safe and reliable operation of the network powering the lives of 2.5 million people every day.

“Considering the significant challenges COVID-19 has had on supply chains across the world, today’s winners are to be congratulated for their commitment to excellence in their business-to-business partnership with Endeavour Energy,” said Ms Merit.

Ms Merit said the awards marked an important milestone in Endeavour Energy’s challenge to both itself and suppliers to keep improving in a sustainable way.

“Over the past two years we have seen our overall in-full and on-time delivery performance lift from around 65% to exceed 90% last year.

“While this lift in performance is pleasing, our target over the next 12 months is to improve in-full and ontime delivery to 95% and even higher in coming years.”
