Statement on Outcome of Employee Vote on proposed Enterprise Agreement
Endeavour Energy’s enterprise agreement covered employees have voted against its proposed enterprise agreement*.
Ninety eight percent of employees participated in the vote, with 43% voting in favour of the proposed agreement.
“While we respect the views of our employees, this is disappointing news, especially for all of our employees who were keen to move forward, secure a fair wage increase and return to delivering for our customers and communities.”
“As a result, the proposed agreement has been rejected and will not be implemented.”
The intended offer included a one-off payment, wage increases back dated to 1 July 2024 and other benefits.
“Our current agreement will continue to operate until a new agreement can be reached.”
Endeavour Energy thanked everyone who took the time to cast their vote.
“It’s clear there was a good level of engagement from our people throughout the voting process.”
Looking ahead, a meeting is scheduled with the Fair Work Commission for Monday regarding the NSW Electrical Trade Union’s intractable bargaining application.
Endeavour Energy’s proposed Enterprise Agreement*
- $6,500 one-off employee payment paid before Christmas 2024 if the agreement is approved.
- Increases to wages back paid from 1 July 2024 and paid before Christmas 2024 if the agreement is approved.
- A four-year agreement creating certainty for employees, customers and the business.
- 15.7% total pay increase over the life of the agreement – or a 16.6% pay increase when compounded.
- A CPI safety net for years 2, 3 and 4 meaning wage increases will be higher if CPI is higher (but no lower than the figures above).
- Increase of 0.5% to super from July 2026 – lifting the total super from 16.5% to 17%.
