If you are moving into existing premises already connected to our network, you need to contact an electricity retailer of your choice and establish a retail account for that address. They will arrange for any work that may be required to turn the electricity on.

How to obtain a National Metering Identifier (NMI)
If the existing connection to our network is adequate to meet your supply needs, then no further applications are needed and your contract for connection to the network will be in the form of the deemed standard connection contract that is applicable to your installation.

In all cases your electricity retailer is responsible for arranging suitable metering and tariffs.
